New York Central Park Walking Tour 3 hours

Hopefully, I will be able to upload beautiful photos of my walk after I complete it.

1. Gapstow Bridge and The Pond, my first stop after entering Central Park on the southeast corner.  It is supposed to be the best spot to take photos of the park along with Belvedere Castle and Bethesda Fountain.

2. Central Park Zoo.  Not sure if I have time to do the "Total Experience".

3. Central Park Carousel is the largest and most popular carousel in the country.

4. Sheep Meadow is about 15 acres and was intended to be a parade ground but became part of the park in 1864. I guess here is where the gentlemen of New York did their horseback riding.

5. Strawberry Fields – John Lennon Monument has been on my list for a while. It is opposite the Dakota apartment building where John Lennon was murdered in 1980.  The monument was installed on John Lennon's 45th birthday in 1985.

6. Bethesda Terrace is the most recognizable landmark of Central Park and one of my favorites.

7. Bow Bridge is known to anyone who is a little familiar with American Movies. How many movies show this bridge?

8. Shakespeare Garden is a place that should be visited in the spring with all the tulips and daffodils in full bloom

9. Belvedere Castle is known as New York's version of Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle.

10. Cleopatra's Needle's twin is in London.

11. Alexander Hamilton Monument

12. Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir
