Hilton Head Restaurants List 2023

 

1. Alfred's Restaurant great restaurant with good German-type food it get's very busy. Chef Heath & Linda Prosser.  Our friend Guillermo used to work here.  6/30/2023 6:45 pm.  We used to sit outside but for 2024 we probably want to sit inside, which means bring a wrap.  Also, l’m not sure if they changed it but you get a 10% discount for cash payments. 
2. Ela's, which is across from Disney Resort. 6/26/2023 8pm to watch the sunset. 
3. Hudson's area at the bar is first come first serve.  If there is an open place you can take a seat with the locals, just act like a local. 6/27/2023 5pm one has to get there early
4. Lulu Kitchen, Chef Scott Hasting staff Danny Pustovit.  (This was the place Guillermo was supposed to start but then life happened.)  7/1/2023 7:00 pm 
5. Taste of Europe is a  wonderful Hungarian Restaurant it is not fancy it is Hungarian  Home-cooking with the typical no-smile service 6/28/2023 7pm
6. Crane's Tavern Steakhouse and & Seafood's outstanding wine list, and excellent beef. 7/5/2023 7pm
7. Poseidon, on Wednesday (I believe check the schedule) you can watch the movie on the lawn.  It is the spot for young and trendy people.  Has excellent seafood.  7/6/2023 movie Karate Kid. Well Poseidon, it was nice knowing you but we have to take you of our favorite list. 
8. Sunset Grill has a nice view but we haven't been there for a while
9. Bistro 17 We haven't been there in a few years but used to like it a lot
10. Kenny B's French Quarter Café   We were there one time, it was great but with all the other restaurants on our list, we never managed to go back. It's a family-run Cajun seafood restaurant much like you will find in New Orleans.
11. The French Bakery & European Cuisine are very busy with great pastries
12. Charlie's L'Etoile Verte has great food, and Monday is half-price wine. You may want to sit inside it was really hot on the porch and the fans didn't make a difference.  Also, double-check the credit card machine is somewhat is calculating the tip wrong.  Meaning if you it the 20% tip button it will calculate 25% not sure what that was all about and I hope they will correct it soon.

3. We tried something new. We went to CheatSheats / club seats the bartender Christen, who is from Mass. and Michael bonded over college stories.. sadly Christien is only working two days off the week. The place was a success. The waitstaff has stellar eyes. Not only will your glass never be empty but the wine glasses are filled to the rims.
