Last night's dinner (Friday Night May 3rd) with our friends was nothing short of epic—a culinary delight wrapped in laughter and good cheer. Imagine our surprise when we discovered the next morning we had become evening's VIPs, complete with a secret reservation link that made us feel like undercover celebrities. As the night danced away, so did our chances of a good night's sleep, and this morning felt like a scene from a survival show where the first challenge was simply getting out of bed.

Then there was Michael, our very own tissue-destroying machine, whose allergies had kicked into high gear. In the span of one hour, he went through two boxes of tissues with the speed and ferocity of a magic act gone wrong. The quest for Sudafed turned into a slapstick routine of its own—us, groggy and disheveled, scouring the room for any remaining tissue boxes like two bumbling detectives on a very low-stakes case. Our simple morning errand morphed into a wild goose chase but in the end we found the Sudafed and breakfast. Oh, what a night—and what a morning!

On Saturday, the day before we left for our cruise dinner at Nightingale was an exquisite experience. Reuniting with Shawn, our familiar waiter, and Chris, the skilled sommelier, added a special touch to the evening. We were pleasantly surprised when Shawn effortlessly recalled our order from last year, showcasing his impeccable memory and attention to detail. As we savored each dish, from the grilled brusselspouts to the flavorful bison sausage and tender veal tongue, it was evident that Nightingale's culinary prowess had only grown. The perfectly seasoned meatballs were a highlight, followed by a decadent carrot cake and delightful s'mores for dessert.
